The standard Strikeman laser cartridge uses replaceable batteries and works as a dry-fire laser. SmartShot is rechargeable and works as both a dry-fire laser and boresight, with steady and pulse modes for more firearm compatibility.

SmartShot can provide up to one hour of continuous boresight use on a single charge. In dry-fire mode, it is designed for thousands of shots between charges.

No. The Strikeman App is free. We do offer an optional Pro subscription for $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year with features like Open Target and advanced metrics, but it is not required to use your SmartShot system.

Strikeman training does not include recoil - that is intentional. Removing recoil lets you focus on trigger control, sight alignment, first-shot accuracy, and repeatable reps before validating those skills with live fire.
